Are Metapopulation Cheetahs predator adapted?

Eighty one percent of Metapopulation Cheetah can be considered predator adapted as they share habitat with Lions (Panthera leo) and / or Spotted Hyaena (Crocuta crocuta) (Figure 5). The Eastern Cape has the lowest percentage of predator adapted Cheetah (71%), possibly contributing the higher cub survival in this cluster. Most Metapopulation Cheetah share habitat with Leopard (Panthera pardus) and Brown Hyena (Hyaena brunnea) whilst roughly half co-exist with Spotted Hyena and Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus)(Figure 6). Wild Dog and Spotted Hyena are completely absent from the Eastern Cape cluster.
